About Pony
Pony came from rough beginnings—found abandoned in an RV and at risk in a high-intake shelter, he was lucky to be pulled by a rescue and is now decompressing in a foster home in Sierra Madre, CA. This young, medium-sized American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix has a sweet, shy nature but is warming up day by day. Once he trusts you, Pony is affectionate and enjoys simple joys like chasing his ball or playing with the water hose. He’s both house and crate trained, knows some basic commands, and is getting more comfortable on leash. Pony can get along with other dogs when introduced properly, but he really thrives in the company of his person—he’d love a home where someone is around most of the day. An active, gentle adopter who works from home or is retired would suit him best. Pony also gets along well with children and enjoys a calm home base after playtime. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
