Pigeon is a gray and white tabby with a short coat who lives in Richmond, KY. Around 7 years old, he is a large, senior, neutered male cat. He is house trained, vaccinated, and has some ongoing needs related to his previous pelvic injury and daily medication. Pigeon is FIV positive, which means he should be kept indoors and requires an attentive, understanding adopter.

About Pigeon

Pigeon arrived with a serious pelvic injury, probably from being hit by a car. Even when he was hurting, he remained gentle and tolerant, showing a sweet side to everyone he met. He enjoys chin and ear rubs, loves to be brushed, and will happily lounge on cat trees or snuggle with volunteers during cleaning shifts. Small toys keep him entertained in his kennel. Pigeon has a definite opinion about how he wants to be treated; he may nip or swat when his boundaries aren’t respected, so patience is key with him. Most of his mobility has returned—about 90% recovered—but the injury left his colon a bit sluggish. He needs a dash of Miralax in his wet food every day to keep things comfortable. Pigeon is also FIV positive, so an all-indoor lifestyle is best and he should be the only cat in the house. He doesn’t do well with other pets and would not be a match for homes with children given his particular nature. Pigeon is about 7 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $10.60 with approval. Give him the patient, loving home he deserves. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
