Meet Christy, a 5-year-old spayed female cat with a heart full of love — she’s just having a hard time showing it here at the shelter. New places can feel overwhelming, and Christy is still figuring out that she’s safe and cared for. Christy does well with other cats at the shelter. With a calm environment and a patient adopter who lets her settle in at her own pace, she’ll have the chance to blossom into the sweet, affectionate companion we know she can be. She just needs someone who believes in her. Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
