About Peso

Peso is a striking young cat who landed with the rescue as a kitten after being abandoned in a hoarding situation back in April 2024. Left without much human contact during his formative months, he’s grown into a semi-feral adult and remains on the skittish side. Peso stands out with a face marked by unusual patterns and a coat that calls to mind a wild rabbit or maybe even an Abyssinian. He’s motivated by food, is completely reliable with the litter box, and gravitates toward fellow felines. Peso absolutely needs to join a home that already has another cat or kitten. Ideally, he’d be adopted with a cat he already knows, but he’ll settle in as long as there’s another friendly feline. He’s met large, cat-savvy dogs in care—while initially frightened, he could adapt to a calm, gentle dog over time. Peso is not a fit for homes with young kids. The right adopter for him is experienced, steady, and as committed to his long-term care as Peso deserves, no matter how outgoing or reserved he remains. Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW negative, and microchipped—he’s medically set for adoption. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
