About Oswald

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Oswald is a wonderfully affectionate senior cat who loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for some attention. With his big, expressive ears and luxuriously soft, brown tabby coat, he charms everyone he meets. Estimated to be around 9 years old, Oswald's journey has been truly inspiring. He was found living as a stray in a barn, and arrived in a delicate state—his fur was severely matted and he was struggling with dental disease and diabetes. Thanks to a dedicated medical team, Oswald underwent dental surgery and had his mats carefully shaved. Now, he is thriving with regular care and has undergone a heartwarming transformation. His diabetes is currently well-managed through a specific low-carb, canned food diet and twice-daily insulin injections. Any adopter will need to have a relationship with a veterinarian and should be ready for a brief delay in bringing Oswald home—this allows the shelter’s team to provide thorough training, starter supplies, and a glucose testing kit. Oswald is adored by volunteers and, as he prefers to be your one and only feline, he is best suited to a single-cat household. His affectionate nature and resilience make him a truly special companion who deserves to be spoiled with love and comfort. Born under the sign of Virgo, Oswald is likely to bring loyalty and kindness to his new home! Start your journey together! Apply now.
