About Napoleon
Click apply to start the adoption process. If you are searching for a sweet, gentle "fuzzy panther" to welcome into your family, Napoleon could be the perfect fit! This affectionate 8-year-old arrived at our rescue in Maine during the summer of 2024, coming from one of our partner groups. He was transferred to us for expert care as he is diabetic, but his condition is well-managed through a low-carb, canned food diet and twice-daily insulin injections. His adopter must have a strong, ongoing relationship with a trusted veterinarian, reflecting our commitment to Napoleon’s lifelong well-being. Our medical team will provide thorough training—diabetic care is easier than you might think—and send you home with a blood glucose kit, insulin, supplies, and a generous starter supply of canned food. Because of these preparations, Napoleon can’t go home the same day you meet him. Gentle, laid-back, and endlessly affectionate, Napoleon will be a fantastic companion for a family seeking a loving cat. Meet him in Room 4 at HART, and experience the joy of bringing home an easygoing new friend. Fun fact: With a birthday on August 13, Napoleon is a Leo—a true sign of a friendly and loyal heart! They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
