Meet Riley Riley at just a young age was abandoned on the brutal streets of Harris County, TX left to fend for herself. This is an area where people abuse and torture the abandoned strays. She was eventually picked up by animal control starving but then found herself alone and scared in the overcrowded shelter. Due to overcrowding she found herself within just days on the county kill list due to testing heartworm positive. We couldn't let this happen to then young Riley as heartworm is treatable but the shelter wouldn't fund it to give her a chance!! We got Riley and got her healthy and we are happy to say after treatment Riley is now Heartworm NEGATIVE now! Riley has been with us for 2 years now and we absolutely can't understand why as she is stunning and absolutely perfect!!! She is potty trained, gets along with all dogs and guess what!! Riley even gets along with the kitty cats. Riley is a Husky mix at about 3 years old! She is fluffy and has BEAUTIFUL blue eyes that standout against her peach-colored coat! She LOVES and tries to please her human and is very loyal. Riley is perfect outdoors and will be as active as her human is. She is wonderful indoors and loves being a couch potato also, She will even try holding your hand while sitting next to you with her paw. She is kennel trained however Riley is non-destructive but this is always a good trait for pups if needed. Additionally, Riley is GREAT with other dogs and would thrive in a home with other dogs as she is very social!
