Rocco is an 8 and a half-year-old, neutered male American Bulldog with a white and cream coat currently living in Houston, TX. He's considered large-sized, fully house trained and crate trained, and his vaccinations are up to date. Rocco would thrive with someone who appreciates bully breeds and can give him plenty of affection and gentle structure.

About Rocco

Rocco was taken in by his current foster family after being abandoned just before the holidays, and he's settled into home life with surprising ease. He's all about affection—kisses, couch snuggles, and the occasional attempt to sit on your lap, no matter your opinion on the matter. As a classic American Bulldog, Rocco shows typical stubborn streaks and isn’t shy about pestering for head scratches or belly rubs, but he responds well to firm and consistent boundaries. He already knows how to sit, shakes on command, and is fully crate trained. Rocco makes a great watchdog, alerting his family to deliveries with uncanny timing. He’s relaxed and not especially playful—content with a few minutes of tug-of-war with his rope toy or a good chew on a bone. He gets along with the resident cocker spaniel but tends to prefer being the only dog if another strong-willed, alpha-type dog is in the mix. Rocco warms up to new spaces slowly but is described as a big baby once he finds his groove. He’s looking for a home with someone experienced with bully breeds, or at least comfortable taking the lead when needed. Fun fact: Rocco is a Sagittarius—so he’s equal parts loyalty and goofiness.
