About Jer
Jer is a big, gentle cat with a lot of heartâand plenty of personality. He was surrendered after his owner died and the transition was rough, but heâs come through and is ready for a new beginning. At 16 pounds, Jer is working on slimming down with healthier meals and playtimeâheâs already lost a couple of pounds thanks to some wet food and toys. He really thrives with other cats around to help keep him active, but he doesnât need a feline cuddle buddy. Jer does best in homes without dogs, and for kids, older ones are a better fit due to his sensitive nature. This guy is all about lap time, couch snuggles, and cheek rubs. Heâs got a quirky love of holding hands and always wants to know youâre nearby. He's not an adventure cat and big changes stress him out, but if you want a mellow, affectionate companion who likes routine, he's your guy. Jerâs an old-fashioned charmer who sleeps in the bed with you and keeps a paw on your arm so you wonât wander off. He doesn't like closed doors eitherâperfectly on brand for a cat. Born July 9, Jer is a Cancer, so you can count on him for loyalty and comfort. If youâve got a calm home with room for a cat who wants to love and be loved, Jer might just be the cat youâve been wishing for. Start your journey together! Apply now.
