About Trapper
Trapper is a 2-year-old Beagle with a tricolor coat of brown, black, and white. Previously a stray, he started off shy and terrified of people, but he has made great strides since joining HERO. Though still timid around newcomers, he quickly becomes playful and affectionate once trust is established. Ideal for a family with older children (12 and above), Trapper isn’t a fan of younger kids due to their high energy. He enjoys the company of other dogs but needs his space, especially when they approach from behind or lay too close. He’s also friendly with cats, often trying to engage them in play. Trapper loves to chew on hard toys rather than plush ones. His playful spirit shines once he's comfortable, and he has a delightful habit of waking up his foster dad by staring nose to nose until he stirs. At 30 lbs, Trapper is fully vetted and house trained, thanks to a doggy door. He does have cauliflower ears from a past infection, but that doesn't hold him back from being a great companion. Patience is key as he adapts to his new home. Think you could give Trapper the loving environment he needs? Click apply to start the adoption process.
