Tootsie lived in a home where there were was too many dogs. The owner was cited and the dogs had to go somewhere safe. Tootsie is traumatized by her time spent in the hoarder house. It is obvious that she did not received any sort of affection or attention, and as a result she is afraid of people. She is very shy and skittish when it comes to human interaction. She runs in and out of her kennel trying to stay out of sight from people, and when she finally gets a chance to socialize she freezes and jumps at every slightest sound and movement. It is a heartbreaking thing to know that Tootsie can live in peace if she will just give us a chance to prove that she is now safe and free from harm. We know this sweet little girl will come around in time. A home of her own will help Tootsie get her bearings and begin to understand love and kindness.
