About Dixon
Dixon lost his first home in Texas when his person couldn’t give him what he needed, so he landed in foster care and worked hard to get healthy after a rough bout with heartworm. Recovery meant he had to stay calm, which was tough for a dog who craves play and company. Now fully recovered, Dixon is making up for lost time—bounding around the yard, enjoying toys, and soaking up all the attention. He’s a social butterfly who thrives on interaction and loves his walks. Kids, especially older ones, seem to get him, but other animals are not in the cards—Dixon does best as the only pet. His next family will get a playful, happy companion who’s ready to settle into a loving home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
