About Gruber
Gruber—also called Griffin, Griff, or Big G—is a large, impressive dog who prefers to keep life simple and drama-free. The shelter was tough for him since other dogs make him anxious, so moving in with his foster mom brought much-needed peace. Gruber has discovered the joys of belly rubs and now proudly expects them as often as possible, even if squeezing onto a lap is a stretch. He picked up house training remarkably fast and has never had an accident, always going outside. He enjoys time in the backyard, running or relaxing as it suits him, and is happiest in a calm environment where he doesn’t have to share space with other pets. Gruber is playful, clever at entertaining himself with chew toys or chasing shadows, and quick to grab a toy for a round of keep away when company comes home. Simple pleasures—Kongs, peanut butter, a good movie on the couch—keep him more than satisfied. For Gruber, home is everything, especially if he’s the only animal in it and the belly rub quota is met.
