About Izzy
Izzy's got a survivor’s spark and an easygoing sweetness that comes from weathering a few storms. She’s a shepherd mix with a black, brown, and tan medium-length coat and a natural love of play—she enjoys making new friends, canine and human alike. Life at her foster’s been full of snowy romps and new beginnings, but she’s always searching for a real forever family. Izzy is best suited for homes with a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences allowed) and isn’t yet house trained, so her new people need a bit of patience for that. She’s affectionate, energetic, and up for adventures, but above all, she just wants somewhere safe where she can love and be loved. At 8 years old (that’s a Leo, so she’s likely confident and loyal), Izzy still moves with the energy of a dog half her age. Note that all adoptions through Fayette County Animal Rescue include a thorough medical screening, microchip, guarantees, and ongoing support requirements. Izzy is up to date on vaccinations and spayed. She also qualifies for a special senior reimbursement program to help with vet costs. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
