Bayou was in a high-intake shelter in Texas when flood waters ravaged the area. Dogs had to be moved out to make room for newly displaced family dogs, so Bayou and many of his friends came to HUA. Bayou is a sweet boy, but he is still fairly shy with new people. However, he is coming out of his shell quickly and we’re seeing a fun little personality emerge. Caregivers are winning him over with tasty treats and lots of praise. He loves soft toys and is quite playful when the mood strikes. Bayou is a bit particular about which other dogs are allowed to share his bed with him, but once they are pals he is the best doggy friend ever.
