Meet Muncy! His story is a sad one, but because the animal control officer who saved him has a heart of gold, he is alive with us today. Poor Muncy was shot full of BB's and animal control was called. The responding officer rushed him to the vet and saw his loving soulful eyes begging for help. She reached out to our colleague in the rescue community for a final Hail Mary plea to save this dog's life. She had orders to have him euthanized at the vet office if we could not find a place for him. He had the surgery and had all of the bullets removed, even got neutered. Our colleague Faith was able to find him a foster home, but his Foster's health is declining and Muncy needs a permanent home. He's sweet and loyal and definitely a cuddly couch potato. He needs someone who exudes confidence and helps him feel safe and protected. He is crate trained and very smart and looks up at you with the most loving eyes because he understands he's out of a horrible situation and his extremely grateful. He will provide hours of laying on you nozzling into you, enjoying car rides to run errands and he's the sweetest little companion.
