About Cessna
Start your journey together! Apply now. Cessna has experienced quite a transformation in recent months. Brought to safety from an apartment complex where he was living as a stray in spring 2024, Cessna arrived at the shelter unsocialized and afraid. Over time, patient volunteers devoted themselves to helping him build confidence and learn that people can be kind. Now neutered, healthy, and living with other cats, Cessna has blossomed—he eagerly seeks out head butts and gentle pets from his feline roommates and enjoys the companionship of other calm, non-alpha cats (especially females). He thrives on gentle attention from people and delights in having someone to talk to him, though he still prefers not to be picked up and held. This handsome gray and white, short-haired boy is happiest lounging in sunbeams or bird watching from a window. Because of his past, Cessna will do best in a calm, quiet home and may be sensitive to loud noises and unpredictable environments. He is house trained and loves a peaceful routine. While he’s not fond of the shelter dog, he might do well with a calm, gentle canine companion. Young children would likely overwhelm him, so an adult or older teen home is recommended. If you’re searching for a sweet feline companion for your existing cat—or simply want to give a deserving cat the gentle life he deserves—Cessna is hoping for that second chance. Fun fact: With a birthday of January 1, Cessna is a Capricorn—a sign known for resilience and loyalty! Please note: Adopters must be 21 or older, and the shelter only adopts within a 50-mile radius of Sharonville for the pet’s well-being. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
