About Kurt
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Kurt, a lovable hound with a calm, low-key personality looking for a gentle home. Though life hasn't always been easy for him, he remains incredibly sweet and adores cuddling, whether snuggled up with people or other friendly dogs. One of his great joys in life is a good nap—provide a comfy bed, and you will have one content boy for hours. Kurt's vision and hearing aren't the best, so he occasionally bumps into things and relies on his fantastic nose to navigate walks, typical of a scent-loving hound. Although he may pull on his leash, he enjoys his outdoor sniffing adventures. House training comes naturally to him, but due to his senior age, he does need more frequent trips outside or access to a doggy door—an ideal fit would be a home where his people are around most of the time. Kurt gets along well with calm dogs but prefers to avoid hyper or rough play. If you can forgive his vision and hearing quirks, he promises to gift you endless love and affection. He is neutered, up to date on key vaccines, and protected from heartworms, making him ready for a wonderful new chapter. Born in the sign of Leo, Kurt is extra loyal and loves being at the heart of his family's world! Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.

Questions about Kurt
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Hounds thrive in homes where they have both companionship and some room to roam. They do well in houses with secure yards but can adapt to apartment living if given regular walks and mental stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Hounds appreciate having a yard to explore due to their scent-driven nature, but daily walks and outdoor time can suffice if there's no yard. A secure, fenced area is recommended to keep them safe while they follow their noses.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Hounds are generally gentle and patient, making them good companions for families with children. Their affectionate nature is well-suited to households with respectful kids.
