About Rocky
Rocky is a small, long-haired Pekingese in Greensboro, NC who is mostly blind but still full of curiosity and spirit. At a little over 7 years old, he’s attentive and quick to get his bearings, learning his surroundings using shadow and movement. Rocky needs to be leash-walked so he doesn’t bump into things, but his cheerful personality shines when he’s hunting for toy baskets or waiting for his next treat. This dog lives for car rides—once he’s seat-belted in, he’s in his element—and he’ll happily join you for several walks a day. Rocky needs a low-key, adults-only home with no other dogs and an experienced Pekingese owner who understands both his breed’s needs and his visual impairment. He will take time to warm up, typical of the breed, but when he trusts you, he is 100% devoted. Rocky’s adopter should monitor his eyes every six months and keep up with daily anti-inflammatory drops for his right eye; he is a cooperative vet patient. You must be able to visit him in Greensboro, NC for a meet and adopt if you’re a match. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
