Clyde
AvailableClyde is a young, small mixed breed (Boxer and German Shepherd Dog) male with a brown chocolate coat. He is neutered, vaccinated, and currently in San Jacinto, CA. At 1 year and 3 months old, Clyde is house trained and generally friendly with other dogs. His time in the rescue has made him a little hesitant in new situations, but he’s a steady companion once he warms up.
About Clyde
WANTED: A partner in crime! Clyde’s looking for his sidekick, as long as you’re okay being the brains—he mostly sticks to play, pool time, and a lot of naps (yep, he’s nailed all three). He arrived at Haven Pet Center as a puppy with his sister, Bonnie, who’s already found her forever home. Now at a little over a year old, he’s still waiting and holding out for the right family. Clyde grew up in the rescue, so he can be shy in new environments. At events, he sometimes hits the deck, preferring to quietly observe or nap it off until he feels ready. Trainers say that’s actually a positive—he processes the world at his own pace. He’s especially gentle around other dogs and truly thrives in group play. While he hasn’t lived with cats, he’s met them at a distance and would rather avoid their “dangerous” stares (ask him who’s braver, you or the cats). Clyde’s ready for a family—especially one with a confident dog buddy, a yard for games, or an adopter with patience for his gentle, goofy quirks. If you want a loyal sidekick to share your adventures, Clyde’s game to try just about anything—as long as nap time stays on the agenda. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Clyde
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Clyde, being a Boxer and German Shepherd Dog mix, tends to do well in homes that offer regular social interaction, a secure yard, and a moderate to active daily routine. He’ll be happiest with a family able to provide space to play and some structure.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A small-to-medium yard is beneficial for a Boxer/German Shepherd Dog mix like Clyde, but he’ll be fine with regular walks and playtime as long as he gets daily exercise and time outside.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Boxers and German Shepherd Dogs are generally good with children due to their gentle and loyal nature, so Clyde could be a great fit for a family with kids, especially if everyone respects his shy moments.
