About Pepper

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Pepper was once a devoted mother to three kittens, living her early life as a barn cat before finding refuge at the Green Hills Animal Shelter. She’s a friendly girl who has shown great maternal instincts, is always happy to use her litter box, and is eating well. At around 1 and a half years old, her gentle nature makes her a pleasure to be around, and her short, soft coat displays beautiful tabby colors in shades of gray, blue, and silver. Pepper is currently receiving outstanding veterinary care to help her transition to home life. Recently, Pepper was spayed and given her rabies vaccination, but it was discovered through bloodwork that she is FIV positive. Because of this, Pepper’s new family will need to keep her indoors exclusively, and it’s best if she is either the only cat in the home or joins a household with other FIV-positive cats. FIV is non-curable and affects a cat’s immune system, yet with attentive care and plenty of love, cats with FIV can live long, happy lives. When you adopt a cat from Green Hills Animal Shelter, you’ll bring home a companion who is fixed, wormed, vaccinated, and tested for FIV and FeLV, as well as a starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet to help you get off to a great start. Ready to give Pepper a safe and loving forever home? She’s waiting to meet you at our shelter, where she hopes her next chapter will be her best yet. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
