About Tanner
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Tanner is the smallest of her siblings and was rescued after being abandoned, along with her family, when her previous owner moved away. While her name might not match her appearance, it perfectly reflects her gentle and sensitive personality. She has quickly learned to respond to her new name, and it’s easy to see she enjoys it. Though Tanner is shy at first, she is slowly blossoming. Once she gains a bit of confidence, her cheerful little personality shines through. Tanner has spent her rescue time with her mother and brother and tends to look to them for comfort, often following rather than leading. Because of her gentle and reserved nature, she would thrive best in a home with another canine companion who has a calm and supportive temperament. Tanner is just under two years old and has never had a true home of her own. There’s so much she has yet to experience, and with the right person to guide her, she’s sure to grow in confidence. She’s currently learning the basics—how to walk on a leash, control her excitement, and become house trained. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Tanner

A Wirehaired Terrier/Chihuahua mix typically thrives in a home environment where they can feel secure, such as apartments or houses with attentive owners. A calm and steady atmosphere with another dog companion may help them feel most at ease.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
This mix usually requires only moderate outdoor space, like a small fenced yard or access to safe walks, to meet their exercise needs. Regular walks and play are beneficial for their well-being.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Wirehaired Terrier/Chihuahua mixes can do well with children, especially if socialized early, but their small size and sensitive nature means gentle handling is important. Supervision is recommended with young kids.
