About Potro
Potro sat quietly in the shelter for weeks, growing more stressed and withdrawn until a foster stepped in and gave him a second chance. In his foster home, Potro has shown the best parts of his personality—he gets along with female dogs as well as confident cats, and truly enjoys being around people. If you already have a sturdy feline or a female dog, he'll do well in your pack. Potro is a big, strong Anatolian Shepherd who can be a handful on walks, so he needs more leash training. A harness and work with a behaviorist are recommended to help him learn not to pull. Potro was recently neutered, which may help him be more comfortable around male dogs in the future, but for now, he needs guidance and patience. This is a good-natured dog who just wants a chance to be part of a permanent family. Give Potro the fresh start he’s been waiting for. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
