Doc

About Doc
Doc, along with his sibling Hickory, came in after being found during the winter. Neighborhood concerns led to their rescue, and they've stuck together ever since. Doc takes his time to warm up, and leans on Hickory for comfort. They need an adopter who’s not expecting instant lap cats—their shyness is part of their charm, and both thrive with slow, patient handling. They’ve spent time in foster care, but their confidence is still a work in progress. Anyone looking for a bonded pair should know Doc and Hickory cannot be separated. Only experienced cat caretakers who understand the patience socializing takes should apply. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Doc
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
A domestic short hair like Doc is adaptable, but he’ll do best in a stable, calm home where he and his sibling Hickory can have quiet spaces to relax and adjust.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Doc, as a domestic short hair, will thrive indoors with enough space to roam and explore. He doesn’t require outdoor access to be happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic short hairs are generally fine with respectful children, but Doc's shy disposition means a quieter home without very young kids would be less stressful for him.
