About Jake
Meet Jake. He was found as a stray alongside his sister in spring of 2025 and quickly won hearts before being adopted later that summer. Unfortunately, Jake’s story took a turn when he was abandoned on the shelter’s doorstep in the cold and rain just a few months later. Now he’s back in a kennel, confused and unsettled, longing for someone to give him the loving home he thought he’d already found. Jake stands out at the shelter—not just because he’s been there the longest, but for his distinctive brindle coat, speckled tongue, and the way he bounces around the yard like a happy kangaroo. He’s a volunteer favorite, eager for any outing, whether it’s a car ride, adoption event, or trip to the beach. Beneath his energy is a sweet dog hoping for someone to believe in him again. Jake is ready for a real second chance—a home where he won’t be left behind. If you’re looking for a devoted friend who lights up for car rides and loves a good adventure, come meet Jake. He’s ready to start the next chapter with you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
