Stellaluna...the darling dear with the biggest eyes with quite a tale. Stellaluna was found by a good Samaritan outside injured, and then taken to a shelter. The shelter vet found that this poor angel had a fractured spine. At the time, Stellaluna was unable to use her hind limbs and unable to urinate, causing her bladder to overfill. No owners came forth. She was to be euthanized due to lack of care the shelter could provide. We took this sweet angel in, and now Stellaluna has movement in her hind legs & is able to urinate on her own. She is still handicapped waist down, unable to pick her hind legs up fully, and we perform bladder expression 4 times daily to help her urinate successfully and not on herself. She has healed from the recent injuries that caused her handicap and is in no pain. It is uncertain if more of her movement will come back to her legs. We can only keep trying to ensure she has every chance. Stellaluna overall is a healthy, vibrant, curious cat. She does seem to have one major issue, though...she is ADDICTED to love!!! This girl will follow you everywhere, scooting across the floor to get to you. She is happiest if she is by your side or in your lap. OHHH, and she LOVES soft blankets. Not just to lie on them, but to burrow underneath them to sleep. Adorable?!!! Stellaluna is very playful, always eager to chase toy wands and dangling strings. This joyful girl needs minimal care with the right experienced owners. She would do well in diapers to avoid potty accidents on floor until owners are able to express her bladder and give her a sanitation wipe. Stellaluna may not be the typical cat care, but by no means is she a burden or a hassle. She is absolutely perfect, and she most of all needs the most perfect home.
