About Riley D

Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Riley is a wonderful, large mixed breed dog who was rescued just in time from a difficult situation and quickly became a shelter staff favorite. He’s incredibly sweet and, once given a chance to meet new people, he quickly warms up and shows his affectionate, playful side. Riley loves to play with both people and other dogs but also enjoys downtime where he can relax and lounge around. He’s eager to please, easy to train, and has already mastered basic commands like sit and wait, gently taking treats only after being released. With one striking blue eye and a softer coat from his improved diet, Riley is as unique as he is handsome. Recently, Riley has been thriving in a foster home, especially enjoying the company of other dogs and hiking or visiting parks. While he was initially nervous, once comfortable, Riley reveals his loving and loyal personality. He is both house and crate trained, and would ideally do best in a home with another dog buddy, though he has adapted well to being the only dog when his guardian works from home. If you are able to provide a vacation foster home from Nov. 17th to Dec. 10th, Riley would truly benefit. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
