He is currently being privately rehomed and would thrive in a home that already has a female dog, or as an only pet. Ranger enjoys visits to the dog park, exploring new spaces on walks, and snuggling with his human and dog-sister. His curiosity and goofy personality shine brightest when he has regular outings for mental and physical stimulation, so a family that loves activity—such as hiking, running, or frequent walks—would be ideal. He is comfortable sharing indoor space with female dogs, but is not suited to live with cats or male dogs. While he can be playful with dogs of all sexes outside, his future family must be committed to ongoing force-free, reward-based training. Ranger is currently working on crate and muzzle training to help him adapt wherever he goes next. Due to his sensitivity to space and handling, a home with older children or adults who can respect his boundaries is preferred.
