Romeo D is a unique mix, mostly Husky and Cattle Dog with some Terrier thrown in, giving him a one-of-a-kind look and personality. He's been with his family for nearly four years, but changes at home—new baby, another on the way, and a move—mean he’s searching for an adult-only home (kids 10+ are fine). Romeo loves daily long walks and then relaxing at home near his people. He forms deep bonds, likes to follow his favorite person everywhere, and loves being brushed or petted. He’ll do best as the only dog in the house—he loves dog friends outside but prefers to have his own space at home. Romeo has plenty of energy and needs a family that can keep up with him, ideally one that enjoys hikes or jogs. He thrives on routine, healthy food, and consistency. He’s already housetrained, has training under his belt, and does well with other dogs, but he’s not good with cats—he can’t resist chasing them. Romeo is crate trained and has handled long car rides well, often calm and content buckled in. He’s affectionate and loves belly rubs, though he can be a bit klutzy and doesn't always realize his own strength. This boy needs an experienced, active adopter who can provide firm guidance, regular exercise, and lots of company. Romeo gets anxious if left alone and will try to climb high fences to be with his person, so a secure situation is a must.
