About Nova

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Nova's journey has truly been an adventure—from the sunny beaches of Puerto Rico to her new start here. This nearly 5-year-old black lab/staffy mix lights up every room she enters. Although she was adopted once and truly cherished, circumstances led her back to the rescue when her family could not bring her along for a move. Now, Nova is searching for a loving forever family to write her happy ending. Nova is house trained, motivated by food, and brimming with energy and affection. She thrives in an active home where she can share her love of jogging—she can run up to 4 miles a day! Her dedication to learning stands out, as she's been working with a trainer to improve her leash skills, recall, and basic commands, always eager when treats are involved. She enjoys the company of dogs her size who can keep up with her enthusiastic play; a fenced yard would be the ideal space for her to zoom around and indulge her fondness for chasing backyard lizards. Due to her prey drive, Nova should not live with cats, and she is best suited to an adult-only home where she can enjoy peace, predictability, and undivided attention from her people. Loyal, loving, and deeply committed, Nova is so ready for an active, dedicated family. There is a foster-to-adopt option available, offering the chance to get to know her before making things official. Nova weighs 63 lbs, is spayed, current on vaccinations and preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $85. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
