About Clyde
Clyde is one of those cats who carries himself with a dignified calm, even if he’s still learning how to trust the world. Before arriving at the shelter, Clyde spent his life outdoors, so everything inside is new and a little overwhelming. Volunteers have been patient with him, and after some time, this reserved fellow has started to offer quiet greetings when he feels safe—with a hopeful meow and an eye on his favorite chicken treat. The catio has become his favorite refuge for sunbathing, and he’s rarely far from Bonnie, his closest companion. These two need to stay together and must be adopted as a pair. Clyde needs a cat-savvy adopter who understands shy cats and the slow process of building trust. He’s best suited for an adult-only home with someone experienced, and access to a screened patio or catio really matters to him. Clyde is FIV positive. While Furkids HQ will support some FIV-related concerns after adoption, routine care and anything beyond quality-of-life measures are up to you as the adopter. Ready to offer patience and a gentle hand? What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Clyde
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic medium hair cats like Clyde don’t require unsupervised outdoor space but benefit from safe access to enclosed outdoor areas like a catio, which helps them feel at ease.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
This breed can be fine around respectful older children, but Clyde is best in an adult-only environment due to his shy and sensitive nature.
