Edgar is affectionate and thrives in calm environments. He is currently in Buford, GA, and after all that he has overcome deserves a loving forever home.

Meet Edgar, a big, fluffy tuxedo cat whose journey has been nothing short of remarkable. At 4 years old, this gentle spirit has fought cancer and triumphed. After surgery to remove a tumor near his spine, he received a personalized cancer vaccine to boost his immune system and help prevent any recurrence. Now, he's ready to turn the page to a brighter chapter: finding a loving home. Currently, Edgar sports a unique look, as he’s temporarily missing the fur on much of his lower half due to his surgery, giving him a charming ‘forgot his pants’ appearance. Underneath all this fluff is a shy yet affectionate cat who needs time to adjust to new environments. Although he can be a bit sassy with hisses or swats at first, he’s all bark with no bite. When he feels secure, Edgar loves being petted and reveals his true sweet nature. This sensitive boy would be happiest in a calm, predictable home where he can take his time settling in. He prefers to be the only pet and doesn’t get along with dogs. Edgar may tolerate other calm cats who respect his space.
