About Studley
Studley is a strong, self-assured mix of American Staffordshire Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier who thrives with people who know how to lead. He’s about 2-3 years old, laid-back, and happiest simply hanging out at home or outside in the backyard, where he’ll take his time just soaking it in. Studley is calm in the house and has a therapeutic, relaxed presence, but there’s no denying his power—he needs an experienced handler who understands how to set boundaries and redirect him when necessary. He’s great with good-natured dogs, including smaller pups, though he isn’t cat-friendly. Studley enjoys walks, car rides, and affection, but doesn’t demand constant engagement; he just wants to know you’re near. He’s generally house-trained, barks to signal when he needs to go out, and entertains himself with chew toys or music lightly playing in the background. His energy is moderate, but he does get anxious during thunderstorms or heavy rain, so having someone home often is important. A fenced backyard is a must—this is non-negotiable for Studley’s peace of mind. An initial training session and ongoing monthly refreshers with Tails to Tails will be provided to help keep Studley's skills sharp and ensure a smooth transition.
