Meet Hudson — the sweetest 6-year-old gentleman looking for a soft place to land. Hudson came from a home where he was clearly loved and comfortable, and while he arrived at the shelter with his brother Huck and mom Cinnamon, I want to focus on how he’s doing now — because this boy is ready to thrive in a home again. Hudson is fully potty trained and quickly figured out the routine in my home. Within a couple hours, he was going to the door to be let out. He’s a bit shy, especially with head handling, but it’s the gentle, "run and hide" kind of timid — never any signs of aggression. With a little patience and reassurance, he opens up more each day. He’s dog-neutral but curious, and with slow, thoughtful introductions, he’s already had successful interactions with our pups. He also walks beautifully on leash and hopped right into the car like he knew he was finally heading somewhere safe. While he’s not a full-on cuddler just yet, Hudson likes to stay close and will quietly follow you from room to room. He’s calm, easygoing, and simply wants a warm, peaceful place and a person he can trust. Hudson has struggled a bit in the shelter environment, but in a home he shines.
