About Scruffy
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Scruffy is a 3-year-old, long-haired, medium-sized mixed breed with a beautiful black and golden coat. Neutered and fully vaccinated, he's progressing nicely with crate training and, with a little patience, will soon master both leash and potty habits. Scruffy’s playful and affectionate personality shines through—he absolutely delights in making new friends, human and canine alike (with a preference for female dog companions). He meshes well with adults and older children, easily blending into the family routine and bringing cheerful energy wherever he goes. Once abandoned and gravely ill in Tecate, Scruffy overcame heartworm and distemper, triumphing through foster care. Now thriving, he is eager for a loving, patient family who will cherish him and provide the affection and attention he deserves. Scruffy is ready to give his heart to a new home! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
