About Filbert [and Jem]
Filbert and Jem are a bonded pair of adult cats living in Santa Fe, NM. Filbert was rescued at around age seven from a colony and brought in for care and rehoming. He started out timid, but has slowly come out of his shell and now genuinely enjoys being petted and scratched by favorite caregivers. Filbert is respectful of other cats, sharing space with them but prefers to spend most of his time napping alongside Jem, his closest companion. He's shown he can adapt, going from skittish to openly affectionate when he feels secure. Both cats are house trained and have tested negative for FELV/FIV.
