About Mia
Mia’s journey hasn’t been easy. Found as a stray and shuffled from a holding facility to the brink of a kill shelter, she held onto hope far longer than anyone should have to. Rescued just in time, Mia landed in the care of Find A Home’s foster program where she slowly began to heal. Years of neglect left Mia underweight, with open sores and heartworm, but none of it dimmed her cheerful spirit. She always greets her people with a bright smile, happy just to be near you. Now healthy and thriving after heartworm treatment and plenty of TLC, Mia is eager for a home where she can finally settle in for good. She’s house trained, an easy-going companion who thrives on leisure walks and lounging by your side. Though she does okay with another calm, respectful dog after proper introductions, Mia would much rather be your one and only—she likes the idea of undivided attention. Ready to give Mia the home she’s always deserved? Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Mia
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Mia, as a large American Staffordshire Terrier and American Bulldog mix, is best suited for a home with moderate to ample space where she can spend quality time with her people. She adapts well to both houses with yards and spacious apartments as long as she gets her daily exercise.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
While Mia enjoys walks and some playtime, she doesn’t require a huge yard. Regular outings and some space to stretch her legs will keep her content, especially if she’s the focus of your attention.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
American Staffordshire Terriers and American Bulldogs can be wonderful with children when socialized properly. Mia especially thrives in a calm environment, so families who teach children to be gentle and respectful are a good fit.
