Hi, I'm Candy! I am very shy/nervous at first, but I'm a really sweet girl. I was in an abusive situation before I was rescued with my 7 puppies, so I'm still learning that people are good. I will need a lot of love, time, and patience to come out of my shell. I am observant and curious and will try to sneak a quick sniff of you when I think you're not looking. I like to investigate new areas on my own terms, and I enjoy curling up on dog beds. I would benefit from having another calm dog-friendly dog in my new home to show me how to be a dog. I have been around teenagers, but am nervous around little kids. I can climb a 6 ft fence and liked climbing into either of my neighboring dogs' kennels. I have some separation anxiety when I'm alone and broke out of a wire crate once. My foster mom now reinforces the crate with carabiners, and I have not broken out since.
