About Kiya Lizman
Start your journey together! Apply now. Kiya is a vibrant 4-year-old pup whose name means "joy" in Japanese—and she truly lives up to it. Greeting you daily with bright eyes, a wagging tail, and happy energy, she's always ready to bring a smile to your face. This large, cheerful terrier/Labrador Retriever mix absolutely loves people and connects best with other playful dogs that can keep up with her rough-and-tumble style. She enjoys long walks, car rides, doggie playdates, snow romps, splashing in kiddie pools, and having a blast with her favorite toys. Adventurous families would be perfect for her, but she also settles happily into moderately active homes, curling up for snuggles during downtime. Kiya is currently in a foster home with older kids and would thrive either as the solo star or with children who are old enough to understand her exuberance—she sometimes forgets her size while seeking out a cozy lap. She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left alone in the house. Leash walks are fun for her, and while she’s manageable, she’ll get excited around other dogs and want to dash over to play! Fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, Kiya is ready to share unconditional love, cuddles, and lots of kisses with her forever family at Eleventh Hour Rescue.
