About Watson
Watson has the easygoing charm of a true old soul. Surrendered at eight by a pregnant owner who couldn’t keep him, he narrowly escaped euthanasia at a Connecticut shelter. Life hasn’t always been kind—he’s bounced back from a rough past, but the heart of a gentle hound shines through. He's settled into foster care and become something of a fan favorite, with a habit of nosing into everyone’s business in typical hound fashion. Day-to-day, Watson stays calm, though crowds or new faces might make him hang back for a bit. Once he senses kindness, he’s all affection and gratitude—never pushy, just happy to be noticed and loved. He craves routine and would thrive in a home where someone enjoys staying active and is willing to work on gentle guidance and regular walks. Watson’s in top shape at 55 pounds, showing off classic tri-color markings and a short, practical coat. He’s crate and house trained, but like any dog finding his bearings, there might be an accident or two during the transition. He’s neutered, current on vaccines, and ready for a new chapter. Watson gets along with other dogs and should be a great fit for an adult household that appreciates a steady companion who’s past his wild puppy stage but still excited to sniff everything in sight.
