Chet is a 6-year-old mixed breed with a short black coat and a big, outgoing personality. He came to the shelter after things stopped working out with the other dogs in his home, but he still gets along well with many canine companions. Chet is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and has all the basics covered including flea treatment, deworming, and a microchip. This guy has a ton of energy and loves being the center of attention. He’s playful, lively, and has zero hesitation about asking for pets or playtime. When outdoors, Chet enjoys exploring but has a knack for hopping fences, so a secure lead is a must when he's outside. He loves meeting new people, though he can get a little wound-up at introductions; a few minutes and he settles down to become a proper gentleman on the leash. Chet needs a home without cats—he has a predatory drive that makes living with cats unsafe. Due to his separation anxiety, he’ll do best if you’re home most of the time or can pair him with a compatible dog buddy.
