Rufus is the epitome of what rescue is all about and this boy deserves a forever home! Our rescue pulled Rufus when he was on a deadline plea set for euthanasia. When he came to Dog Gone Home, he was tattered, torn, and emaciated and he had puncture wounds. This boy may look grey in the face, but those white flecks you see are healed wounds. He has not had it easy, BUT, you’d never know from his overall attitude and his willingness to please. Yet, despite being failed by humans in the past, Rufus is a joyful, enthusiastic, loving 4-year-old Pittie mix! After his quarantine, we placed him in a Lodge & Learn, where he received TLC, support, and training to understand that life can be good and humans can be kind. Rufus has now been living in a foster home, socializing with their resident dog while he waits to find his forever family.
