About Bridge
Bridge is the kind of dog who quietly finds his way into your heart. He’s an older guy, somewhere between 8 and 10, who has already survived more than his fair share—being hit by cars on the street, attacked by another dog, and scraping by under a trailer until rescue. Right now, Bridge is learning how to be a regular dog for the first time, working with a trainer at Guiding Canines and everyday making strides. He can be shy up front but, once he chooses you, Bridge is deeply loyal and gentle. At a recent café outing, he handled himself beautifully. He’s sleeping well through the night in his crate, has no accidents, and is learning how to let you know when he needs to go out. His neuter is scheduled for this coming September. Bridge’s ideal home is quiet, without many strangers or disruptions, and without kids under 12. He’s not suitable for homes with cats or small animals, and would do best as the only dog or with a calm female dog companion. After everything he's survived, Bridge simply needs a safe, loving spot to land for the rest of his days. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
