She is an adult, spayed, and fully vaccinated, having tested negative for FIV and FELV. Zoey is reliably house trained and enjoys a quiet, independent lifestyle. About Zoey
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Zoey is a striking medium to long-haired cat who may have a touch of Maine Coon in her family tree, making her a true beauty with her brown and chocolate tabby markings. At around 4 years old, Zoey is healthy, litter box faithful, and happily tries almost any food you offer. Despite her independent streak, she delights in zipping around her designated room and adores her open cage retreat, which gives her a comforting sense of security—add a cozy box or carrier inside, and she’ll be in her element. A scratching pad or two is a must, as she isn't keen on nail trims. Zoey’s future adopter should have patience and an understanding of shy cats, as Zoey is sweet but reserved. She’s made meaningful progress, conversing in an adorable high-pitched voice, rolling and prancing about—she even enjoys gentle petting while she’s in her safe spot. If you’re female, you might be just the match, as Zoey forms her strongest bonds with women. Sometimes she offers a hiss as a warning, but she’s never aggressive—just protective of her comfort zone. Zoey may never be an all-the-time lap cat, but she could well be the gentle soul who quietly shares your space, sleeping nearby and keeping you company on her own terms. If she finds the right adopter, Zoey has the potential to blossom even further. Zoey is up to date on vaccines, spayed, FIV/FELV negative, and has passed her deworming and fecal tests. Her special $100 adoption fee helps her find a loving, local Northern VA home—cuddly or not, she’s searching for someone who appreciates her unique spirit. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
