AvailableHal is a 9-year-old, neutered male Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)/Pit Bull Terrier mix in Coarsegold, CA. Heās a medium-sized dog with a short golden and white/cream coat. Hal is not yet house trained, and due to missing and worn-down teeth, his diet includes kibble, canned, and soft foods. While he doesnāt have special needs and is not currently up to date on vaccines, heās ready for a loving home.

Hal is a roughly 9-year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) and Pit Bull Terrier mix from Coarsegold, CA. Heās a true rescue: found tangled in a horse corral fence, underweight, and missing many teeth after long-term neglect. Since coming into care, Halās received medical attention and finally knows a full belly and simple comforts. His treated intestinal infection hasnāt returned, and heās holding his weight well with a soft food diet thatās easy on his mouth. Heās neutered and lives comfortably with a few select dogs, but he prefers laid-back canine companions and isnāt comfortable around hyper dogs. Hal does not like cats and should never be placed in a home with them, but heās gentle with horses and enjoys peaceful walks through land and along the canal. While loud four-wheelers can startle him, he handles most new experiences with calm dignity. House training is still a work in progress, but Hal never chews or destroys bedding and just wants to settle near those he trusts. Halās biggest joy is waterābe it a kiddie pool, a stream, or the garden hose, he simply lights up. His perfect home is a patient, steady one that will give him daily walks, toys, rides in the car, lots of affection, and especially water play in summer. Hal is grateful, playful, and eager to trust those who show him kindness, proving thereās plenty of life and love ahead of him.
