About Buddy
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Buddy, a striking Pitt Bull Terrier mix in search of a nurturing foster or forever home. Buddy's journey has been challenging—originally rescued after being found abandoned and malnourished, he later endured life outside on a chain or in a pen. Despite these hardships, Buddy has shown remarkable resilience. After a traumatic leg injury, his road to recovery included a leg amputation, but he has spent the last year thriving as a tripod. Buddy adjusts beautifully to life on three legs and genuinely enjoys exploring parks and making new friends. Buddy adores people and is a loving, affectionate companion. However, due to his high prey drive and past experiences, he would do best as the only pet in a calm, low-traffic, dog-experienced home. After fun adventures, he is content to relax with a chew bone and nap. Buddy is adaptively house trained and is ready to give all his love to the right family. Please note that adoptions and fostering are limited to within approximately 55 miles of Lockport, NY 14094, and not available in Canada due to specific restrictions. His adoption donation covers all essential veterinary care. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
