About Buddy
Buddy is a handsome Pit Bull Terrier who is searching for a foster or permanent home after a tough start. He spent two years with an owner who found him abandoned and underweight, but unfortunately, Buddy lived mostly outside, restrained or in a pen he often escaped. After returning home injured one day, his leg was left untreated until a more serious attack by another dog led to an emergency trip to the vet—where ultimately, Buddy’s leg had to be amputated. He’s been thriving as a tripod for about a year and doesn’t let it slow him down. Buddy is affectionate and gentle with people, but his pronounced prey drive and rough history mean he needs to be the only pet in the home. He moves with enthusiasm and enjoys exploring local parks, sniffing around, making new friends, then settling down for a nap with his favorite chew bone. He would do best in a calm, experienced home with few visitors. If you’re local to Lockport, NY (within about 55 miles), Buddy may be a perfect fit. He comes neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and with flea treatment included. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
