About Colby Jack
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Colby Jack! Colby is a cheerful 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Boxer mix who truly loves being with his people, especially when he can soak up lots of cuddles. He often leans right into your leg for affection and is always ready to flash his big smile! Colby thrives in the company of laid-back dogs, and he and his foster sister, Elly, love exploring the backyard together, sniffing out fresh adventures. At a manageable 35 pounds, Colby is just the right size for cuddling in your lap. He enjoys energetic playtime with humans, though he might be a bit too playful for toddlers and very young children. Crate trained but not a huge fan of his crate, he much prefers to be out and about. Colby walks nicely on leash and would make a terrific hiking or running buddy. After spending his early life on a chain, he's blossomed into a loving companion who greatly seeks out affection and attention. Colby would be happiest in a quieter home outside busy, noisy areas, ideally with another friendly dog to keep him company. He tends to dislike delivery trucks and frequent strangers, so a more peaceful setting suits him best. Smart and eager to please, Colby responds well to strong leadership and craves continued guidance from a confident pack leader. He knows his basic commands after passing professional obedience training, and he's up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
