About Libby Lou
Meet Libby Lou, a 2-year-old, 39 lb staffie/boxer mix in Watertown, CT, with a velvety-soft coat and a huge heart. Libby Lou's early years were spent in a loving home, but a change in circumstances brought her back into foster care. She can be shy at first, but once she settles in, she reveals her silly, happy side and keeps her people laughing with her playful anticsāincluding running and chasing balls (even if she doesnāt always bring them back). Libby Lou adores snuggling on the couch and loves to keep you company around the house. Sheās smart and food-motivated, with all her commands down pat and a love of showing them off for treats. She gets along well with other dogs her size or larger and truly enjoys playing and snuggling with dog friends. Libby Lou is crate trained, leash trained, and reliably housebroken. For families with children, she'll do best with kids over 8, as she can get startled in new settings. She does not do well with cats or small animalsāas she has a prey drive and is too curious with them. Libby Lou is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Her trust was shaken by losing her first family, but sheās ready to give her love and loyalty to someone new. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
