About Hazel

Hazel is a two-year-old, medium-sized mix of American Staffordshire Terrier and American Bulldog, and she’s the definition of a well-rounded family dog. She’s fully house trained, gets along well with other dogs, and is gentle with humans of all ages. Hazel keeps a nice balance—she isn’t lazy, but she doesn’t bounce off the walls either. She’s quick to pick up on training, likes working for treats, and is eager to make her people happy. Leash walks are easy with Hazel, and she’s been a considerate guest in her foster home. She’s never hurt a cat, but she will chase one if it runs, so her ideal home is cat-free unless your feline enjoys a bit of chase. Hazel even passed the test with pot bellied pigs—she’s “Piggie Approved.” Her foster is happy to offer FaceTime intros if you want a virtual meet and greet. Hazel is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for heartworm. Heartworm prevention has also been handled, so no worries there. She’s available in Watertown, CT, and her adoption fee is already covered if prepaid—additional fees apply for specific events or MA quarantine, so do double-check details if you live in Massachusetts.
