AvailableStormi is a 7-year-old spayed female Tortoiseshell cat with short tortoiseshell and black fur. She is house trained, vaccinated, and currently lives in Columbus, OH. About Stormi
Stormi was scooped up on the coldest day of 2024, and her personality is every bit as distinct as her tortoiseshell markings. At around 7 years old, she embodies the quirky, stubborn charm 'tortie' cats are known for—totally devoted to her foster mom and happiest when she's close by, often curled up on the sofa pretending to watch TV. When she's not deep asleep beside her person, you'll find her perched at the window, quietly watching birds and squirrels go by. She’s a thinker, a napper, and a little bit clumsy—she’s been known to roll right off the sofa or bed, to the barely contained amusement of her foster. Social in her own way, Stormi isn’t overly fond of most other cats (the younger ones in her foster home pick on her, so she mostly keeps to herself), but she has befriended one fellow foster cat, Alicia. Together they chase and play in brief, raucous spurts. She’s a quiet girl who took her time settling in, and doesn’t like being picked up (she’ll protest, but her foster tries anyway). Stormi genuinely enjoys the company of men and older kids (ages 5 and up). She’ll do best in a home where she can soak up love from her chosen humans, with plenty of cozy spots and not too many other pets. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Stormi
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tortoiseshell cats like Stormi adapt well to indoor living and typically enjoy a calm, stable home. They appreciate plenty of soft spots for lounging and windows for bird-watching.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Stormi and other domestic cats don’t need outdoor space as long as they have enriching indoor environments. Safe window perches and interactive toys are usually enough to keep them happy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Stormi enjoys older children, especially those over 5, which is true for many tortoiseshell cats who can be particular about their company. She isn’t ideal for homes with very young children.
